Conference Highlights

Dear Colleague:

During 2015, we saw several advancements in wetlands science, as well as significant
shifts in wetlands policy and legal issues. Although we know more than ever about the
science of wetlands, the policy and legal issues are as contentious as they have ever
been. This is particularly true across the geographically diverse expanse of Texas, from
the bottomland hardwoods and coastal prairies in Eastern Texas, across riparian and
spring-fed wetlands in the Hill Country and Great Plains regions, to the playa lakes,
springs, and arroyos of West and Northwest Texas.

For over a quarter century, CLE International and this Conference have kept you and
your colleagues abreast of current wetlands issues all across Texas. You are invited to
join us in January 2016 to look back on where we have come in the past year and where
wetlands professionals think we might be headed in the year to come.

At the Conference, you will get the latest information and updates on:
• the government`s jurisdiction over wetlands and waterways
• how to navigate the regulatory process
• key issues in assessing the functionality of wetlands
• regulatory takings
• enforcement under the Clean Water Act
• endangered species issues
• stewardship and conservation of wetlands
... and more!

Your faculty will be comprised of experts who are at the forefront of wetlands issues
in Texas. Whether you are a lawyer, government official, consultant, engineer, planner,
architect, ecologist or real estate professional, this conference is one you will do not
want to miss.

We look forward to seeing you in January.
